Kelly Link talks Pretty Monsters

The Los Angeles Times interviewed Kelly Link about her new collection, Pretty Monsters , which has just shot to the top of my to get in the next few days. It sounds like the awesome Red Spikes by Margo Lanagan, which I’m re-reading and will be raving about soon.

There’s something magical not only in the worlds that they create but also in the unyielding language which encourages children to read and actually become involved in the book rather than passively take it all in.
