JK Rowling on Harry Potter 8

Just when I thought it might be safe, J K Rowling in an interview with Time magazine has not entirely ruled out book eight in the Harry Potter world but it will be at least ten years before she thinks about it properly. In the meantime, there is an adult novel and a “political fairy tale” to keep an eye on. According to the ITV show on New Year’s Eve, she’s taking her time with the fairy tale so perhaps we’ll see it in a couple of years.

Time voted her as a runner up in their Person of the Year 2007 list. If the books mean that children keep adding reading to the plethora of entertainment options, then why not be a person of the year.
