Robert Jordan death announced
News has broken that Robert Jordan died yesterday from cardiac amyloidosis which he’d been suffering from for a while. Apparently he was still finishing the final book in the Wheel of Time series and there is some hope that it may be completed from notes and tapes, though this decision rests with his wife and Tom Doherty of Tor books.

HEY! Lets be clear here! No ‘NEWS’ has been posted as yet about Jodran’s death. Just blogs and ’self-posting’ sites like wikipedia. The Associated Press and the New York Times obituaries both have NOTHING on this story! Passing around a rumor is one thing, but saying that is is reported as ‘nes’ is another!
In fact I disagree since I also checked Locus’s website and also Tor books, and the official Robert Jordan blog which Tor link into as well. All announce the news and the Slashdot story which alerted me to the fact also linked to the Robert Jordan blog.
