Dark Horse get Creepy and Eerie on us

Another Dark Horse announcement – from next year they will be creating archive versions of the classic Creepy and Eerie comics (classic sf and horror funny books which flourished from the 1960s to the 1980s) and new issues. It lookslike Bernie Wrightson and Steve Niles will be joining the writing party so this looks like a (ahem) killer line.

They have licensed this from New Comic Company (formed from Submarine Entertainment and Grand Canal Film Works) so it looks like some films might be forthcoming from this deal as well.

Craig Haffner, a Submarine executive, commented, “Our association with Dark Horse wil take us one step closer to realizing our goal of returning the Creepy and Eerie brands to their former stature” whilst Mike Richardson, Dark Horse publisher, said ” Both Ceepy and Eerie are fondly remembered by comics fans as representing the best of science fiction and horror, and Dark Horse is proud and excited to relaunch these classic titles”.
