Kim Stanley Robinson talks Galileans

UKSFBooknews has this short interview with Kim Stanley Robinson on the genesis of this next book, The Galilieans. Its due in 2009 but I really can’t wait that long. Its interesting that three major writers have gone back to the birth of science now – the others being Stephenson and Morrow. I wonder if it is more than a political thing – given the relationship between politics, religion and science at the moment – but also a sense that there is doubt in the Enlightenment.
