Yatterings

The Guardian blog has a report from Cannes on the Golden Compass film and the anti-religious meanings for the Magisterium.

They have widened the scope of the body from just the anti-religion to being anti-authoritarian which sort of makes sense and is in keeping with the book. I’m warming up to it and will be curious to see what happens when it arrives in the US.
