Geoff Ryman
I’ve just had an email from Geoff Ryman about his hour-long radio show on Cambodian rap which is to be aired on Resonance FM on May 21st. It is still being edited as I write but it sounds a great show from the author of King’s Last Song. He takes us on a journey through Khmer hip hop, a heady mix of South EastAsian and Afro-American culture brought to Cambodia by returning refugees featuring the music of and interviews with Prach Ly, Sok Visal, A Ping, DJ Boomer, Tony Real, and Silong.
He’s also posted his Hugo nominated short story, Pol Pots Beautful Daughter, for free online as well.
