Yatterings

The last episode left with a certain “logic where art thou” moment. Sam and Dean were haivng fun and games with something that claimed to be an angel, though was a vengeful spirit. However one believed in angels and the other in cold hard proof but could believe in demons.

By not believing in angels (and by extension a good side), would this make the brothers some kind of mortal wrath of god? It would seem to follow a pessimistic view of the world where one is eventually damned. Or it could be inverted into the constant struggle to defeat evil? It would be intriguing for the show to explore that which makes them tick and does it necessarily leave them as being as evil as the demons they hunt? Its been touched on before in the third episode with Amber Benson.
