Genre Covers of the Month -

Just saw this posting for voting on the genre cover of the month on Ariel’s blog, Genrephiles . So go on vote…

Its a good idea since, lets face it, genre readers are vocal on the rights and wrongs of covers (and the contents!) in spite the commercial pressures that publishers face in actually selling the book. He does have the beginnings of an interesting debate on whether the artist wants the cover to reflect the contents of the book as opposed to the drawing the readers in. I hope that he is able to get comments from the creators as it would be intriguing to hear what they think.
Genre covers have begun to get interesting again and they are eaily ignored in the rush to get to the contents.
